This is your space to put your goals for the use of ICT in teaching and learning. You can give everyone updates on how you are going throughout the year. At the end of the year, you can upload a short presentation showing the results of your work to this page. Have fun with this space!

Kia Ora Amanda here.
I'm a New Entrant/ Year 1 teacher at Waterloo School. It is my first year at Waterloo returning to full time teaching after the birth of my son Riley.
Looking forward to hearing from ya!

My goal for this year is to integrate ICT into the classroom programme as much as possible. I will start by introducing Reading and Maths games and we will go from there!

10/3 I have made a Photostory with Suzie. We had 2 children reading their guided reading books and recorded them set this to photo's on Photostory.

21/4 Hi Amanda! I enjoyed working on the Photostory projects with your kids! How did the term finish off? Did you get a few more reading books recorded? I have a page about PhotoStory 3 on my wiki which might prove useful to you. I look forward to hearing how it all works out. - Suzie
9/5 Photostory completed with class, using their reading books. Extra assistance is needed for this as it was really difficult to complete on my own trying to keep the rest of the class quiet enough for the voice recordings!
Was fantastic to have Suzie's help to get this going and it really motivated me to complete it as well!
I still feel I am working on my initial goal of integrating ICT as much as possible, this is a work in progress!

5/8 Having actively participated in the ICT expo I am inspired to implement as much ICT within my classroom as possible. However I have run into some issues regarding resources!!!!! I have one computer in my class and Year 1 students, so the best ICT we have been getting is within the ICT suite with the wonderful Mrs Ladd! The kids have the opportunity to all be actively involved using the computers at one time and having projector to introduce new programmes is the best way to do it.
I have successfully used to projector within my classroom however I cannot have it connected to the internet at the same time so its use is limited.

Amanda hopefully that issue will be solved when we get the approval to do the re cabling. That whole area needs to be looked at. Lets hope the government says yes.
